Make a difference as a CNC Programmer
As a CNC Programmer at PTI Technologies in Oxnard, CA, you will play a vital role in the aerospace manufacturing process by programming, setting up, and operating advanced numerical control machines. Your expertise will be crucial in performing various machining functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching on both metallic and nonmetallic workpieces. You'll read and interpret blueprints and technical data to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures while creating CNC programs for 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers using CAM software or manual inputs. Your responsibilities will also include designing and fabricating holding fixtures, documenting tool lists, conducting First Article inspections, and training operators on machine operations. By actively monitoring machine operations and performing necessary maintenance, you'll ensure that our aerospace manufacturing remains at the forefront of excellence and safety.

Are you the CNC Programmer we're looking for?
To thrive as a CNC Programmer at PTI Technologies, strong technical skills in CNC programming for 4-axis and 5-axis machines are essential. You'll need an Associate's degree or equivalent on the job experience, alongside a solid background in manufacturing processes within the aerospace industry. Proficiency in CAM software is crucial, as is your ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and mathematical concepts. Effective communication skills will allow you to engage with colleagues and present information clearly. Additionally, a strong grasp of geometry and trigonometry is necessary for calculating angles and applying various mathematical principles to machining tasks.
Problem-solving abilities will enable you to define issues, collect data, and draw accurate conclusions. The job requires physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, and navigating a noisy environment with moving mechanical parts. This combination of skills ensures you can safely and efficiently contribute to our high-performance manufacturing team.
