Location: St. Louis, Missouri
Type: Full Time
Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday

Position Overview
As a Machinist at CLM, you'll be operating one of our CNC machines. Daily responsibilities include setup and operation of the machine, minor programming modifications (when needed), quality checks, and regular and preventative maintenance procedures. At CLM, you'll produce a variety of components and parts as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up machines to run parts per print
  • Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing in process inspection on machine output
  • Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum productivity and adherence to production schedule
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
  • Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are completed
  • Maintain and clean machines before or after each shift

Qualifications
Required:
  • Ability to read a production drawing and determine dimensions and tolerances
  • Proficiency in basic math, and use of a calculator
  • Experience operating CNC equipment in a production facility; specifically mill and/or lathe machines
  • Knowledge of cutting tools (i.e., drills, end mills, inserts for lathes, and taps)
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tools (i.e., calipers, micrometers, height gages, small hole gages, etc)
  • Technical degree in area of specialty or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Must be capable of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

Preferred:
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to read, interpret and modify CNC programs
