Description
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: Design fixtures, tooling, and processes in Machining Department
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program
    • Program CNC lathes and mills
    • Assemble fixtures
    • Support Machining Department with technical assistance
    • Develop work instructions
    • Performs and manages PPAP's and PFMEA's
    • Quotes jobs to Sales Department personnel
    • Track costs of materials and process times
    • Review scrap to determine cause of problem and prevent re-occurrence
    • Assists with maintenance of machines
    • Order special tooling required for specific jobs
    • Aid in product design by working with Design Engineering Department
    • Training and support for set-up personnel
    • Complete new part set-up and process
    • Assist in creating inspection process for Quality Assurance Department
  • Implement automation with robotic cells
  • Remain up-to-date on latest technology for Machining Department
  • Perform job following Quality System procedures
  • Initiate deviations
  • Follow schedule for job set-up
  • Design new fixtures and order required tooling
  • Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
  • Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • 4 year degree in Industrial Technology/Manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years machine shop or design background, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Some travel required, 10%
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude
  • Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Thourough knowledge and understanding of GD & T
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communcation skills with internal and external customers
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products, Project Management, CAD/CAM software, AquaPro, job shop software

Training:
  • Reference OJT

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for 90% of shift
  • Ability to do repetitive moves (i.e. bending, twisting)
