Full Time Classification Analyst Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, Classification & Pay/RTW Manager, the Analyst II performs a variety of complex analytical duties in the Classification & Pay (C&P) program and assists the Return-to-Work (RTW) program as needed in the Human Resources Branch of the Civil Rights Department (CRD). The Analyst II also ensures CRD adheres to merit-based hiring and selection practices and provides consultative services regarding classification allocations, duty statements, recruitments, reporting structures, salaries, appointments, position control, and RTW processes. The Analyst II analyzes matters and logically and creatively develops courses of action to make recommendations that meet the needs of internal/external customers. The incumbent is expected to maintain confidentiality regarding various personnel-related matters.
In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees' monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successul candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
