BARK & MANE | Mobile Pet Grooming
be clean, be well & be loved
Founding Luxury Mobile Pet Groomer — Dog & Cat
Job Listing · Hollywood · West Hollywood · Studio City · North Hollywood
Full-Time · W-2 · Growth-Tiered Commission (35%→45%) + 100% Tips · Hollywood · West Hollywood · Studio City ·
North Hollywood
Groom at the top of the market — and help build the brand
Bark & Mane of Hollywood and Studio City is a luxury mobile pet grooming company bringing white-glove, one-on-one
care to the doorsteps of LA's most discerning pet parents. We're an ambitious high-end startup, and we're hiring an
experienced groomer who wants to grow with us — a founding team member who will help set the standard for
premium mobile grooming in Los Angeles.
This isn't a high-volume assembly line. It's unhurried, artful grooming for a premium clientele who expect — and
reward — excellence. No cages, no crowded shop. Just you and one pet at a time in a beautifully equipped van,
delivering an experience that turns clients into lifelong regulars. Every pet is a well-being partner for life: be clean, be
well & be loved.
Cats welcome — and preferred. We groom cats as well as dogs, and skilled, gentle feline grooming is rare and highly
valued here. If you're confident with cats, you'll be a standout on our team.
Why this role is different
• Get in on the ground floor. As a founding groomer, you'll help shape our standards, our craft, and our client
experience — with a clear path to lead groomer and trainer roles as we add vans.
• Craftsmanship over volume. We compete on artistry and white-glove service, not on cramming in appointments.
Your work is the brand.
• A premium, local clientele right in your backyard — Hollywood, West Hollywood, Studio City, and North
Hollywood.
Compensation & benefits
• Growth-tiered commission: 35% of grooming services to start, rising to 45% with tenure and book size — plus
100% of your tips (our high-end clientele tips generously).
• Earning potential of $70,000–$95,000+ per year as your book grows; established groomers with a full schedule
earn at the top of that range and beyond.
• W-2 employment (not 1099) — taxes handled correctly, real stability.
• A company-provided, fully equipped luxury grooming van, tools, and products — no out-of-pocket for your kit.
• A humane, thoughtfully routed schedule (about 6–7 grooms a day) built to prevent burnout.
• Paid sick leave, and additional benefits as the company grows.
What you'll do
• Deliver full-service, premium grooming (bath, breed-standard and stylized cuts, nails, ears) for dogs and cats of all
breeds and sizes.
• Provide our signature Well-Being WrapUp on every pet.
• Be the face of a high-end brand — building warm, trusted relationships with discerning clients and their pets.
• Drive and maintain your grooming van safely across our LA service area.
What we're looking for
• 3+ years of professional grooming experience (salon or mobile), with work you're proud of.
• Skilled and comfortable grooming cats — strongly preferred.
• Confident with all breeds and sizes, including breed-standard and stylized cuts.
• A craftsperson's eye, professionalism, warmth with clients, and a genuine love of animals.
• Ambitious — you want to grow with a company, not just clock in.
• A valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
• Able to perform the essential functions of mobile grooming, with or without reasonable accommodation
(including safely handling and lifting pets).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• AKC S.A.F.E. certification a plus — we'll support you in earning it.
Location
You'll serve Hollywood, West Hollywood, Studio City, North Hollywood, and nearby Los Angeles neighborhoods. We'd
love to hear from experienced groomers who live in or near these communities.
How to apply
Apply now with your resume and a short note about your grooming experience — especially your work with cats and
what draws you to a high-end, growing brand. If you have a portfolio of your work, we'd love to see it. We can't wait to
meet you.
