Job description

This independent, for profit, state-of-the-art, clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory is seeking a permanent, full-time Chemistry Supervisor. Under the direction of the Lab Manager, the Supervisor serves as a member of the leadership team with oversight of the day to day operations of the Chemistry Lab.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

- Staffing according to workload

- Developing and implementing continuous process improvement projects

- Interfacing with lab administration 

- Providing supervision and support to the Chemistry staff

- Expected to serve as a liaison (when needed) between staff and the senior management staff 

 

Required education and experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology and must qualify as a Medical Technologist under NYS Department of Health Regulation Part 58.15 and have a valid NYS License issued by the NYS DOE.

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical laboratory chemistry experience
