Job description

General Chemistry Lab Instructor- Adjunct

Adjunct faculty are compensated at $1,167 per credit hour for courses meeting standard enrollment expectations.

Course offerings and instructional assignments are based on enrollment and institutional needs. Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be canceled or combined. In certain circumstances, compensation or course assignments may be adjusted based on class size in accordance with college policy.

The Chemistry Department at Randolph College, a selective liberal arts college located in Lynchburg, Virginia, invites applications for a General Chemistry Laboratory Instructor.  Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching and comfortable in a lab environment.  Teaching experience and a Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience are expected.  Randolph College operates on an innovative “TAKE2” academic schedule. General Chemistry lab meets twice a week from August 27 to October 13th.
