We are seeking a Data Center Engineer - Mid to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Data Center Engineer - Mid independently installs, configures, and maintains infrastructure, performs troubleshooting of hardware, connectivity, and system issues, supports system integration, patching, and upgrades, maintains CMDB and asset accountability, coordinates with engineering, systems, network, and cyber teams, works independently on standard tasks, and may mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Center Engineer - Mid is expected to be able to:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network devices.
• Perform rack and stack, structured cabling (copper/fiber), and equipment integration.
• Execute system imaging, patching, upgrades, and hardware replacement.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and hardware failures.
• Monitor system health, alerts, and environmental conditions.
• Maintain asset accountability and update configuration management systems (CMDB).
• Apply cybersecurity controls, including STIG compliance and patch management.
• Support incident response, outage coordination, and maintenance activities.
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with operational standards.
• May include shift work, on-call support, and off-hours maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications:
  • Security+ CE
  • CySA+
• ITIL 4 Foundation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CISSP
• ITIL 4 Managing Professional (or intermediate ITIL certs)
• Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or equivalent
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP
• VMware VCP
• PMP or CAPM

• Work schedule: “Normal work hours” constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
• Amount of Travel: 20%

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $79,000.00 - $97,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
