Job Summary:

The Cannabis Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the intake, tracking, and distribution of cannabis biomass throughout the facility. This role is responsible for maintaining real-time inventory accuracy, supporting cannabis infusion order creation, and facilitating timely communication and coordination between the Supply Chain, Production, Compliance, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This position serves as a key support function within the Bulk Cannabis team and contributes directly to the efficiency and accuracy of production readiness.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cannabis materials received, graded, and allocated into production workflows.
  • Assist with cannabis grading and intake processes, ensuring all product meets company quality standards prior to release.
  • Verify and validate batch records submitted by the Production department to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the Cannabis Specialist in generating cannabis infusion orders in the ERP system, ensuring proper material allocation.
  • Reconcile cannabis inventory across ERP and METRC systems to maintain regulatory compliance and operational accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Distribution team and vendors to schedule inbound and outbound cannabis transfers, ensuring timely material availability.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and support decision-making related to quality assurance.
  • Help monitor upcoming production needs and assist in forecasting material requirements to maintain continuity in production.
  • Track and troubleshoot any discrepancies between internal systems and external reporting tools, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Act as a key point of communication between Cannabis, Production, Accounting, and Compliance to ensure alignment on materials, reporting, and compliance.
  • Assist with the ongoing improvement of intake, grading, and allocation processes through accurate documentation and execution.
  • Maintain clean and organized cannabis storage areas in compliance with all state and company regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of cannabis grading standards and plant material characteristics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track large volumes of data and product movement.
  • Proficient in data entry and documentation using ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work across multiple departments.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, regulations, and procedures in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the cannabis industry, supply chain, or inventory coordination.
  • Prior experience working with cannabis inventory, ERP systems, or METRC preferred
  • Experience in a production or regulated industry is a plus.
  • Must be 21 years or older and eligible to work in the cannabis industry in accordance with local regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and other industrial elements.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and humidity levels. .
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, and pick up items and have constant movement for the duration of the shift.
    • Must be able to lift, push, kneel, and pick up items, both small and large.
    • Capability to operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.

Work Schedule (Non-Exempt):

This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be provided.
