Job description

Utah Housing Corporation (UHC) located in West Valley City, Utah, is seeking to hire a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager and will play an important role within the Business Intelligence & Analytics Department by developing, maintaining, and enhancing business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision making across the organization. The Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with business stakeholders, department leaders, and technical teams to transform organizational data into meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that improve operational performance and strategic planning.

UHC's mission is to serve Utah's housing needs through finance and innovation. We are guided by core values of integrity, respect, communication, teamwork and collaboration, and growth and development, which shape how we work together and support the communities we serve. We are looking for someone who embodies these values and takes pride in contributing to a purpose-driven organization.

This role offers a pay range between $70,000 and $98,768 annually, based on education and experience, and is an exempt position. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing business intelligence solutions, supporting data governance initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of organizational data, and providing analytical insights that help leaders make informed business decisions. This position serves as a key resource by translating business requirements into reporting solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and organizational performance.

Primary responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst include designing, developing, and maintaining ETLs, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations; monitoring the performance and accuracy of business intelligence solutions; creating technical documentation and data definitions; and supporting enterprise data quality, governance, and master data management initiatives. This position also collaborates with cross-functional teams to standardize reporting, improve data accessibility, and enhance business processes through effective use of analytics and reporting tools.

The Business Intelligence Analyst partners with stakeholders throughout the organization to gather reporting requirements, analyze business performance, and deliver timely, actionable insights that support operational and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will prepare reports and analyses for internal leadership and external reporting requests, contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, and remain current on emerging business intelligence technologies and industry best practices.

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited college or university. A master's degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience will be considered. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in business intelligence, data management, or a related analytical role. At least two years of intensive experience with the Domo platform is preferred. Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, along with experience in data governance, data quality, statistical analysis, and modern visualization platforms, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicate complex data concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, manage multiple priorities, and build collaborative relationships across the organization while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of organizational data.
