We are actively searching for a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist who specializes in mood disorders to join our dedicated team at Blue Horizon Psychotherapy Clinic. This role is integral to providing high-quality mental health support and intervention to clients in a telehealth setting.

Work Environment

In light of the growing emphasis on remote healthcare, this position operates within a telehealth framework, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home. Our remote work environment promotes flexibility while ensuring that you have access to the tools and support needed to conduct therapy effectively. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as required on a rotational basis.

  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, potential treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in best practices for mood disorder treatments.
  • Advocate for clients to foster a better understanding of mood disorders and mental health needs within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients grappling with mood disorders and related challenges. This diverse patient population includes individuals from various backgrounds, each with unique experiences and needs. Our clinic aims to provide compassionate and culturally competent care to create a safe space for healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques specific to treating mood disorders is necessary.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT is highly desired.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team is essential.
