Position Overview

Blue Horizon Psychotherapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist to provide exceptional care for clients experiencing mood disorders. This full-time position allows for flexibility with a remote work setup while contributing to our outpatient services in Houston, Texas. The therapist will be responsible for implementing tailored treatment strategies that enhance the mental well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, gathering detailed clinical information.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligned with their personal goals and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and the importance of treatment compliance and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor client progress regularly, ensuring treatment plans remain adaptive to changing circumstances and needs.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to assess the need for medication management and other interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal and ethical standards during documentation.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies aimed at improving client outcomes.
  • Advocate for clients' needs, promoting an understanding of mood disorders and supporting efforts to reduce stigma within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and active licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical application of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, specifically working with mood disorders.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering treatment outcomes within this specialty.
  • Experience with psychopharmacology and a collaborative approach to care with psychiatrists.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes a sign-on bonus.
