Job description

Intrinsic is an AI robotics group at Google aiming to reimagine the potential of industrial robotics. Our team believes that advances in AI, perception and simulation will redefine what's possible for industrial robotics in the near future - with software and data at the core.
Our mission is to make industrial robotics intelligent, accessible, and usable for millions more businesses, entrepreneurs, and developers. We are a dynamic team of engineers, roboticists, designers, and technologists who are passionate about unlocking the creative and economic potential of industrial robotics.
Role
As a Customer Success Engineer, you will partner closely with our customers to drive the end-to-end delivery of complex robotic automation systems. You will contribute to high-impact initiatives across the North America region, from architecting technical solutions to delivering first-of-a-kind production deployments and managing long-term lifecycle success. By both enabling users to fully leverage Intrinsic's product suite and co-developing software features for our customers, you will accelerate the strategic adoption of next-generation industrial automation in diverse and challenging production environments.
How your work moves the mission forward
  • Partner closely with our customers and other Intrinsic team members to progress engagements against our shared goals.
  • Conceptualize new industrial robotic automation solutions and scope the path to deliver them into production.
  • Contribute to projects directly by designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software based on Intrinsic's product. Or enable our customers to progress them more independently, by guiding them to apply Intrinsic's product effectively.
  • Ensure clarity and alignment around outcomes you own. Owning communication across internal and external stakeholders, with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Be a bridge to the wider Intrinsic team to shape our product roadmap and address customer feedback.
Skills you will need to be successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering modern industrial automation solutions into production, with a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, debug issues and drive results.
  • End-to-end understanding of industrial automation systems and the ability to guide customers to scalable solutions.
  • Proficiency in modern software development, specifically with C++ and/or Python in a professional environment.
  • A passion for being part of a forward deployed team that, together with functions like BD and Product, engages closely with our users every day.
  • Professional fluency in English and a willingness to frequently travel domestically to support customer engagements in the North America region.
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
  • Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: industrial robot programming (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, UR, ABB, Yaskawa), PLC programming (e.g., Beckhoff, Siemens), machine vision or industrial bus systems (especially EtherCAT), virtual commissioning and simulation.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and distributed systems, including Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, and real-time architectures.
  • Ability to build responsive, custom operator interfaces using modern web frameworks such as Angular.
  • Familiarity writing code that leverages ROS (2), its major frameworks and Gazebo.
  • Experience on multidisciplinary project teams to deploy robotic systems.

The base salary for this full-time position is between $132,000 - $180,400 (USD) + 15% bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
