What is full time beard modeling?

Full time beard modeling is a professional career where individuals with distinctive, well-groomed beards work as models for various brands, advertisements, fashion shows, and product promotions. These models often represent grooming products, apparel, or lifestyle brands that cater to audiences who appreciate facial hair. The job may involve photoshoots, commercials, live events, and social media promotions. Success in this field typically requires maintaining a healthy, attractive beard and building a strong personal brand.

What are some common challenges full-time beard models face in maintaining their appearance for photo shoots and campaigns?

Full-time beard models often face the challenge of keeping their facial hair in top condition, as frequent styling, product application, and environmental exposure can lead to dryness or split ends. Regular grooming, including trimming and conditioning, is essential, and models may need to adapt their routines to suit different campaign requirements. Additionally, coordinating with stylists and photographers to achieve specific looks can require flexibility, patience, and a willingness to try new grooming techniques. Staying up-to-date with beard care trends and products is also important for maintaining a versatile and healthy appearance.

To thrive as a Full Time Beard Model, you need well-groomed facial hair, a distinctive appearance, and a portfolio showcasing your look, often complemented by basic knowledge of personal grooming and skin care. Familiarity with photo shoot environments, social media platforms, and sometimes modeling agencies is important, while certifications are not typically required. Confidence, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills help you stand out and foster positive relationships with photographers and brands. To become a beard model, build a well-groomed, healthy beard and maintain good skin care. Develop a portfolio with high-quality photos showcasing your beard and facial features, and seek opportunities through modeling agencies or online platforms specializing in grooming and fashion modeling. Job description

Location: Birmingham, Alabama (West Jefferson County)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Emergency Medicine (BC/BE)

Compensation: $500,000+ annually (~14 shifts/month)

Practice Model: Independent, physician-owned, democratic — with a clear path to partnership

Join one of the highest-earning emergency medicine opportunities in the Southeast. This is a non-CMG, physician-owned democratic group serving Birmingham's West Jefferson County across two sites: the brand-new UAB Medical West hospital (opened August 2024) and a high-volume Hoover freestanding ED. Combined annual volume exceeds 80,000 visits.

Why This EM Job Stands Out

One of the most distinctive features of the practice is that non-partners earn the same annual income as partners, meaning there is no income penalty during the partnership track and a clear pathway to ownership in a transparent, democratic group.

If you want high income, real autonomy, and long-term equity, this practice is built for you.

  • $500,000+ annual income for ~140 hours/month (about 14 shifts)
  • ~60% of compensation is wRVU-based — your productivity drives your pay
  • Brand-new 200-bed, nine-story UAB Medical West hospital (opened August 3, 2024)
  • Strong APP and ancillary support with flexible scheduling
  • Physician leadership and an equal voice in every operational decision

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation follows a transparent, physician-aligned formula built on a competitive hourly base rate, a quarterly wRVU-based productivity bonus, and equal group distributions. The benefits package includes pre-tax medical, dental, and vision options, paid malpractice insurance, a CME allowance, and a 401(k) with profit-sharing. Meals are provided during shifts.

Practice Environment

UAB Medical West (Primary Site). The brand-new facility opened in August 2024 as a 200-bed, nine-story hospital. The emergency department has 30+ beds with expandable capacity and is designated a Level III Trauma Center. Annual ED volume runs between 40,000 and 48,000 visits with an admission rate of approximately 20%, reflecting moderate-to-higher acuity.

Hoover Freestanding Emergency Department. This 15-bed freestanding ED sees between 37,000 and 40,000 annual visits in a lower-acuity, high-efficiency environment, with an admission rate of approximately 5%.

Clinical & Operational Details

  • Physicians rotate between both sites for an ideal balance of acuity and flow.
  • Shift length: 8,10, and 12 hours, ~14 shifts/month, with flexibility
  • Patient volume: 2.0–2.5 PPH solo, or 3.0–4.0 PPH with APP support
  • Coverage model: Co-staffed with 8 APPs, no scribes — transitioning to AI ambient documentation
  • EHR: Meditech today, with an Epic transition planned for 2027
