Assistant General Manager

One Flew South is the premier fine dining restaurant at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and flagship concept of Potlikker Creations, LLC, a subsidiary of Jackmont Hospitality, Inc. Voted Best Airport Restaurant and Bar in the World in 2013 and nominated for the James Beard Award for Outstanding Service in both 2014 and 2015, One Flew South delivers spirited global cuisine made with premium ingredients from regional farmers and purveyors, paired with expertly crafted cocktails. We are seeking a hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our award-winning team and uphold our standard of exceptional service, quality, and operational excellence.

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring an elevated dining experience for every guest. This role leads front-of-house execution, staffing, service standards, and team development while maintaining financial and operational accountability.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 2-year college degree preferred.
  • 3 or more years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
  • Strong operational, financial, and people leadership skills.
  • Must be capable of performing all hourly restaurant positions.
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, and production preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass TSA badging requirements to work in the airport.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality, cleanliness, and food and beverage quality.
  • Manage and support scheduled shifts, staffing levels, floor execution, and guest engagement.
  • Analyze financial performance, including labor, cost of goods, and other key metrics, and take action to drive profitability.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop front-of-house managers and hourly team members.
  • Maintain an accurate staffing plan and ensure proper coverage based on business volume.
  • Hold managers and team members accountable through consistent feedback, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee dining room readiness, cleanliness, and guest flow throughout service.
  • Uphold and model One Flew South's culture of excellence, professionalism, and hospitality.
