Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Statistics, or 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding the movement of raw materials and finished goods to and from PWI locations and third-party facilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supply chain
  • Knowledge and understanding of forecast and capacity modeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn and navigate ERP/data software programs (JDE, Hubble, Margin Minder, etc.)


General Overview:

The Supply Chain Coordinator II is responsible for ensuring information and physical inventory pertaining to internally transferred materials flow smoothly between PWI locations or third-party re-packers in a timely and accurate manner. This includes reviewing supply and demand for 12 manufacturing locations each week and determining material transfers needed to ensure all locations have adequate material supply to meet their production plan. In support of this process, the Supply Chain Coordinator II is responsible for the timely processing of Bills of Lading and maintaining an updated capacity model. The Supply Chain Coordinator II will also support the custom label process by entering small batch orders and working with the re-packer to create an optimal production schedule. The Supply Chain Coordinator II supports the overall raw material purchasing program by updating and communicating raw material forecasts quarterly.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintain an accurate preform/cap/tote model accounting for any changes in demand, machinery, run days, and production capabilities
  • Actively analyze the preform/cap/tote model and proactively make recommendations regarding mold placements and down days to ensure any potential downtime related to lack of preform/cap/tote availability is mitigated
  • Own the preform/cap capacity model and work with department leadership to forecast and propose future preform/cap/tote needs
  • Using the inventory and production information provided by the plants, develop and distribute an accurate materials transfer plan at the beginning of each week
  • Send information regarding plant min/max levels on cap and preform inventory and actively monitor against those levels.
  • Maintain quarterly transfer tracking spreadsheet and update with accurate costing on transfer routes
  • Using data, work to optimize transfer lanes to deliver savings in preform/cap/tote transfers
  • Work with custom label partner to create an optimal production plan and schedule inbound/outbound loads
  • Enter small batch orders for custom label
  • Process bills of lading
  • Provide quarterly forecasts to raw material vendors
  • Back up Supply Chain Coordinator I as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


GMP & PPE Required:


While on the production floor in the plant, you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.
