Job Summary
Georgia Gwinnett College seeks an Assistant Baseball Coach to provide development, leadership and supervision of a comprehensive and competitive varsity baseball program.
This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA) and is responsible for reporting crimes and other incidents to the Clery Act Compliance Officer for inclusion in the Annual Campus Security Report in accordance with the Federal Clery Act and GGC policy.
Responsibilities
  • Work with Head Baseball Coach to coordinate the implementation of the College's baseball program as Recruiting Coordinator (Assist with the offense, defensively work with catchers, infielders or outfielders)
  • Compliant with institutional, conference and association rules and regulations
  • Coordinate and recruit prospective student-athletes through personal visits, telephone conversations, and networking tree
  • Plan, develop, and run organized parts of offensive practice
  • Assist with the development, planning, and administering of athletics camps to promote GGC and the athletics program
  • Monitor student athletes academic progress and implement strategies to ensure academic and athletic success
  • Ensure the baseball program will be an integral part of the Integrated Educational Experience where learning takes place continuously, in and beyond the traditional classroom
  • Reinforce the GGC culture by demonstrating sportsmanship, integrity, a competitive spirit, and the importance of academics
  • Ensure academic success of baseball student athletes. Student athletes' retention and graduation rates and GPA should be comparable to those of all GGC students
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach

Required Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree including graduate level coursework or higher from an accredited college/university required.
  • 3 or more years of coaching experience in Intercollegiate Athletics at the NAIA or NCAA level.
  • Proven record of success both on and off the field

Proposed Salary
42,100 - 50,500
Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
