More About the Role
Join our Spirits team as a New York-based Strategy Director! You will be leading strategy for Bacardi Brands such as Bacardi Rum, Grey Goose and St-Germain and building communications plans across markets and working with inter-agency teams to deliver best in class and award winning campaigns.
Responsibilities
  • Client Leadership: Leads the spirits portfolio accounts through key 360 activation, campaign and program planning throughout the year; Work with account and inter-agency teams "IAT" (including collaborating with the brand's creative, media, social and experiential events teams) to deliver holistic and collaborative strategies that deliver a clear communications framework, insights, narrative, and beyond to set the brand and our key activations up for success. Experience in building a clear, concise, and sharp yet dynamic presentation narrative and flow. Keen eye for detail and determining when a plan or presentation is "client ready"
  • Campaign Brief Management: Lead and direct the internal team on briefing and planning process across global brands, serving as a first line of defense including receiving briefs from clients, digesting the materials and what's needed from the team, setting up the framework, identify clear cultural insights, and approach for the plan and building a cohesive strategic approach from the start
  • Brand Positioning: Define compelling key messaging and storytelling tracks to ensure positioning comes to life effectively; develop communications frameworks and strategies in partnerships with creative and media agencies
  • Own Industry, Cultural, Creative and Competitor Landscape: Conduct and understand competitive positioning research and leverages these insights to identify opportunities and develop sound business strategies that are fed into planning.
  • Team and Project Management: Lead the framework and deck set up for all planning in order to free up account teams focus on creative ideation. Ensure plans don't fall behind on deadlines and ideas are always fresh
  • Lead the Creative Process: Drive the creative brainstorm process with internal account teams when planning starts; internalize all briefs and share key insights and consumer points with the account team so they can focus on creative ideation. Internal teams will lead and support on creative ideation, but a clear understanding and experience in ideas and strategies that are compelling, dynamic, and culturally relevant is key.
  • Approach Flexibility: Adjust way of working based on client contacts and account team members
Qualifications
  • Professional Experience: Brings at least six years of full-time experience in PR, advertising or Creative services, with at least two years of experience in a leadership role in creative brief response
  • Passion & Industry Knowledge: Genuine enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of Luxury, Lifestyle and/or Entertainment industries, with a proven track record of delivering impactful large scale public relations campaigns. Priority verticals include Fashion, Music, Sports, Arts and Culture. 
  • Project Manager: At least two years of experience collaborating with multiple cross functional teams across multiple accounts and inter-agency teams and leading projects internally, and also as a lead communicator with clients. Responsive and strong organizational skills in multitasking various workstreams
  • Leadership & Activation Management: Exemplifies proficiency in team management and developing strategiest for activations/programs exceeding a budget of $1M+, showcasing adept organizational skills and strategic resource allocation.
  • Travel Flexibility: Embraces opportunities to travel for work-related events or meetings, allowing for engagement and collaboration across diverse settings.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a comfort in communicating with global brand executives. Understands when a process or next step is unclear, able to ask clients and IAT the right questions or challenge a brand on deliverables if expectations are no clear or reasonable.

The salary range is $105,000 - $120,000 annually.
