ROLE : DATABASE DEVELOPER (PYTHON / AZURE DATA FACTORY / AZURE DB)

LOCATION : OVERLAND PARK, KS

DAY 1 ONSITE

5 DAYS/WEEK

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database Developer with deep expertise in Python programming , Azure Data Factory (ADF) , and Azure SQL / Cosmos DB / other Azure databases . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, ETL pipeline development, and cloud-based database solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code for data ingestion, transformation, and automation tasks
  • Work with Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB , and other Azure data storage services to manage data structures and optimize performance
  • Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
  • Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring across data pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Ensure security and compliance across data processes and platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in database development / data engineering
  • Strong expertise in Python , especially for data processing and scripting
  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) , including pipeline creation, data flows, and triggers
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database , Cosmos DB , or similar cloud-native databases
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts , data modeling , and data warehousing
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines in data workflows
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:
