Databricks Data Engineer | Spring, Texas, United States Databricks Data Engineer - 6-Month Contract (Onsite, Spring, TX 77389) About the Role Join an exciting project as a Databricks Data Engineer, where your expertise in data engineering will directly impact the success of advanced analytics initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines on the Databricks platform, ensuring seamless data flow from multiple sources into the Lakehouse architecture. This is a contract opportunity with Apex Systems, offering a dynamic, collaborative work environment at our Spring, TX location. Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, SQL) - Implement and manage medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for efficient data organization - Develop ETL/ELT processes to prepare data for downstream analytics and reporting - Ensure high data quality and validation across all pipeline stages - Optimize pipeline performance for scalability and reliability - Work with both structured and semi-structured data formats - Proactively monitor pipeline execution and swiftly resolve issues Required Skills and Experience - Must reside within 25 miles of Spring, TX 77389 (no relocation, no exceptions) - 6+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering - Proven expertise with Databricks and Spark - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL - Demonstrated ability to build ETL pipelines in complex environments - Solid understanding of Delta Lake and distributed systems Preferred Skills - Experience with advanced data quality frameworks - Familiarity with data security and compliance best practices - Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data engineering environments Benefits - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects with leading technologies - Onsite collaboration fostering rapid professional growth - Exposure to enterprise-level data engineering challenges - Fast-paced environment with direct impact on business outcomes How to Apply If you meet all the location and skills requirements and are ready for a challenging, rewarding role, apply today with your updated resume.
