Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and mental health evaluations for new clients, utilizing both standardized tools and clinical interviews to develop individualized and effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to address the diverse needs of clients facing mental health and substance abuse challenges.
  • Partner with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care and ensure clients receive well-rounded support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support, adeptly managing acute distress situations while maintaining a calm and empathetic presence.
  • Engage in continuous community outreach efforts, facilitating educational programs that promote mental health awareness and foster understanding around substance use disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with individuals in the detox center who are facing significant challenges related to substance use and underlying mental health issues. These clients come from varied backgrounds, requiring a therapist who demonstrates cultural competence and a deep understanding of the barriers faced by these populations. Your work will directly contribute to their recovery by providing critical support and therapeutic interventions designed to improve their overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A completed master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele, utilizing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cultural competence is essential; you must effectively work with individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational abilities with efficient time management skills are necessary to maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a detox or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of various evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach programs or mental health awareness initiatives would enhance your candidacy.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, depending on experience and credentials.
