Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in regular collaboration with other mental health professionals, case managers, and psychiatrists to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services promptly and effectively for clients in acute distress, employing a compassionate approach that emphasizes immediate support and stabilization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Azalea Counseling Services, you will work with a wide variety of clients from different socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Our client population includes individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. You will have the enriching experience of enhancing your cultural competence while addressing the unique challenges faced by these communities.

Qualifications
  • An independent and active license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master’s degree or doctoral degree in fields related to Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build a strong rapport with clients and foster trust through therapeutic relationships.
  • A deep commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity, allowing you to effectively engage and work with diverse populations.
  • Organizational skills paired with strong time-management capabilities to maintain timely and accurate documentation and service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience providing therapy in a remote environment, with familiarity in using telehealth platforms, is advantageous.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care methodologies will be considered beneficial.
  • Exposure to working with hospice clients or individuals at the end of life can enhance your fit for this role.
