This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Atlantic Fields, set outside of Hobe Sound, FL.
Atlantic Fields is seeking a Youth and Family Programs Supervisor.
The Youth Program Supervisor works with the Outdoor Pursuits department to ensure that the Atlantic Fields youth program gives the highest level of service with safe and fun learning by providing the members with personal, gracious, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight and management of the AF Kids Program

Participate in, plan and enhance offerings for members and guests during operational hours as well as during organized club and family events.

Collaborate with OP Management and team members to continue to modify, evolve and innovate the amenities and experiences offered in the Outdoor Pursuits department.

Works alongside Outdoor Pursuits Director and Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the Outdoor Pursuits department and act as Manager on Duty for the department

Formulating a planned itinerary of lessons, games, and activities for AF Kids Programs.

Maintain accurate financial records and work within authorized budgeted resources.

Deliver weekly schedules for all outdoor pursuits staff including AF Kids attendants.

Coordinate the development of direct reports, deliver on-the-job-training and coach individual team members to develop their skills

Keep a detailed inventory of all Outdoor Pursuits equipment to include pre -use, weekly and monthly checks on club assets

Implementation and oversight of safety policies and compliance from staff and members.

Instruct and participate in OP activities with all members and prospects to include but not limited to archery, axe throwing, equestrian operations, fishing and racquet sports.

Accompany and supervise participants to both on and off-site events and safely transport them in a company vehicle.

Participate in overnight camping experiences on property as requested.

Complete daily set-up/breakdown of department activities per the departments SOP.

Demonstrate or train others on safe and effective usage of all Outdoor Pursuits activities.

Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure manner.

Attend morning meetings and run daily department briefings.

Serve as a brand ambassador for the Outdoor Pursuits department, consistently reflecting the club's standard of hospitality and member engagement

Any other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Education or similar is desirable.

CIT/Counselor experience desired.

Previous experience in the guest service industry.

CPR, First Aid, AED Certification required.

Must be strong swimmer capable and comfortable swimming in the ocean

Must have prior experience in outdoor education with children of varying ages.

Additional Requirements

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
