Job description

Interstate Electronics Company, a leading audio visual / communications systems integrator since 1964, seeks a Project Manager for its Chicago location.
Interstate Electronics Company designs, installs and supports a wide range of technology solutions, including: audio/visual systems, professional audio systems, control systems, nurse call systems, healthcare communications systems, educational communications systems, video surveillance systems, paging systems, networking infrastructure and integrated security systems.
Responsibilities :
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and implementation of technology projects
  • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Collaborate with clients and sales teams to understand the project scope of work
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, subcontractors and internal employees and manage all project communications
  • Oversee the production of detailed project documentation, including system diagrams, equipment lists, submittals, shop drawings and as-built documentation
  • Ensure that quality control and safety standards are met

Qualifications :
  • Associate degree in technology or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred
  • Experience working in the construction, engineering, or IT industries in a project management or engineering design role
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven business writing skills

Pluses :
  • Experience with audio visual technologies, including audio and video signal processing, control systems or networking
  • Experience with healthcare technologies
  • A current AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera P6, among others)
