This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

About the Post-Production Manager

The Post-Production Manager owns the scheduling, workflow, and delivery operations for the Content teamโ€™s audio and video editing departments. This role ensures all weekly and seasonal shows are properly staffed, strategically scheduled, and delivered on time across podcast, YouTube, VOD, and streaming platforms.

Partnering closely with the Directors of Audio and Video Editing, this person manages the editing pool across both staff and freelance editors, oversees workload balancing and capacity planning, and proactively identifies risks that could impact deadlines. The Post-Production Manager serves as the central point of accountability for post-production schedule health, building scalable systems and processes that support high-volume publishing and continued growth in video content.

What Youโ€™ll DoDepartment Leadership & Management
  • Oversee daily scheduling of the post-production department across audio and video

  • Translate production timelines into actionable post-production schedules

  • Own on-time delivery performance across all shows and platforms

  • Provide visibility to leadership on schedule health, risks, and mitigation plans

  • Build contingency plans for high-volume periods or unexpected staffing changes

  • Establish and maintain workflows, file management systems, and delivery pipelines

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

  • Build scalable post-production systems to support expansion into video and VOD distribution

  • Create and maintain the post-production calendar and scheduling system

Project Management & Delivery
  • Build and maintain detailed, deadline-driven post-production schedules in Airtable or equivalent systems

  • Identify risks to delivery timelines early and proactively escalate with solutions

  • Flag schedule conflicts, resource constraints, or scope changes in advance

  • Partner with editing leads to align assignments based on skill set, complexity, and turnaround requirement

  • Track and report on on-time delivery metrics across shows and platforms

  • Ensure all deliverables meet platform specifications and publish timelines

  • Optimize workflows to improve efficiency for multi-platform publishing

Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner closely with production, show, marketing, and distribution teams to align on delivery timelines

  • Serve as the primary liaison between production and post-production to ensure smooth handoffs

  • Contribute to production planning meetings to ensure timelines are realistic and achievable

  • Communicate regularly with internal teams via Slack and collaboration tools

  • Provide feasibility input during development and production phases

What You Will Bring to the Table
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

  • 5+ years of post-production experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, deadline-driven schedules

  • Experience managing podcast post-production workflows

  • Experience with resource planning and capacity management

  • Experience delivering content to YouTube and VOD platforms

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong working knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Excel, Slack, and Airtable

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and propose solutions

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through

Preferred Experience
  • Experience managing high-volume, weekly publishing cycles

  • Experience scaling a post-production department during rapid growth

  • Knowledge of OTT and VOD delivery standards such as Tubi or similar platforms

  • Familiarity with RSS feed management and podcast hosting platforms

  • Experience tracking post-production budgets

  • Experience building workflow automation systems

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, creator-driven or non-fiction environment
