Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Our Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Neurocognitive Assessment Coordinator to join the UCLA Aftercare Research Program. You will support clinical research focused on individuals with schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. You will work directly with participants to conduct standardized cognitive and functional assessments, support research operations, and manage data collection processes. Primary responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and conduct participant visits, including scheduling and consenting individuals for research studies
- Administer standardized neurocognitive, clinical, and functional assessments to psychiatric and comparison populations
- Score, code, and manage research data, ensuring accuracy and completeness across databases and records
- Support data tracking, database management, and preparation of summaries for research teams
- Collaborate with investigators and interdisciplinary staff to support ongoing research activities
- Maintain testing schedules, supplies, and equipment
- Assist with general program operations, including participant communication, reporting, and administrative support
- Provide training and guidance to students and new staff on assessment procedures
- Offer occasional coverage for front desk
salary range: $28.69/hr - $34.21/hr

Required:
Minimum 1 year of experience in working in a research or laboratory environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
Ability to work effectively and sensitively with individuals with psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, as well as their families and diverse community participants
Ability to accurately administer standardized research and assessment measures
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and data
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing workloads in a fast-paced research setting
Ability to remain professional, organized, and composed in an environment with frequent interruptions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general data tracking tools
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Psychology or related field
Experience recruiting, consenting and scheduling research participants
Experience administering cognitive, behavioral, or functional assessments and maintaining related data
Bilingual in English and Spanish
