The Role

The Asbestos Supervisor leads asbestos, mold, lead, and regulated waste abatement projects while ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations. This role oversees job-site teams, maintains safety and quality control, performs inspections, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with all requirements.

This position blends field leadership, regulatory compliance, team training, project execution, and coordination with the Construction Manager. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain safe and productive work environments.


What You’ll Be DoingField Leadership & Oversight
  • Oversee asbestos abatement projects and supervise field workers
  • Perform daily inventory of company vehicles during load/offload
  • Conduct frequent checks inside containment to ensure quality and timely production
  • Perform visual inspections to confirm work meets regulatory standards
  • Oversee proper disposal of asbestos-containing materials, including labeling and double-bagging
  • Maintain professionalism with customers and co-workers
  • Ensure job sites are left clean, safe, and ready for next steps
Team Training & Compliance
  • Train newly hired employees and follow structured training guidelines
  • Ensure all state and federal asbestos regulations are followed
  • Complete and maintain daily job-site documentation and paperwork
  • Uphold safety standards and enforce compliance across the team
Equipment & Site Operations
  • Drive company vehicles to/from job sites
  • Safeguard tools, equipment, and materials on-site
  • Maintain shop organization, ensuring equipment is stored properly
  • Participate directly in job-site work as needed

What You BringRequired
  • Asbestos Supervisor Certification
  • Knowledge of asbestos, mold, or lead-based paint removal practices
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., work on ladders, roofs, and uneven surfaces
  • Effective teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
Preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an EPA-approved Asbestos Worker Training Course
  • 3+ years of full-time, journeyman-level asbestos abatement experience

Work Environment

This role involves physical outdoor work and industrial building environments. Candidates should expect:

Field Conditions:
  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Exposure to equipment noise, chemical fumes, and machinery hazards
  • Walking on uneven or changing surfaces
  • Driving in variable weather
Indoor/Shop Work:
  • Equipment handling
  • Organizing and maintaining shop areas

Schedule
  • Full-time, typically 40+ hours per week
  • Hours vary depending on project demands
  • Flexibility required based on field schedules

Required Education & Experience
  • Must possess Asbestos Abatement Worker Certification
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Construction industry experience

Work Authorization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
