As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government aviation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control operations. You will engage professionally with visitors and personnel, communicate observations, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and airport partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport areas, public spaces, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns, unusual conditions, and policy violations, and communicate observations promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic or crowd-management activities as assigned while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
