JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Claims Administrator will service claims and work with Risk Advisors, clients, and carriers. The Associate Claims Administrator will work on small accounts with guidance and support form Claims Administrators and Sr. Claims Administrators. This position will work towards becoming a Claims Administrator.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
  • Assist in servicing claims on behalf of clients in all lines of personal insurance in accordance with agency workflow and procedures
    • Take calls regarding new claims and enter information into the system
    • Submit claims to carriers
    • Work with insurance carriers to obtain the best claim resolution
    • Enter claim acknowledgments, payments, or closures into the system
    • Follow-up on requests from insureds or claimants on the status of the claim
    • Scan and enter all mail pertaining to claim updates
  • Set priorities and mange workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate product of work
    • Proactively respond to daily client correspondence in a quick and accurate manner
    • Collaborate with Risk Advisors to identify claim issues, potential solutions, strategies, and services for clients
    • Maintain internal and external relationships with professionalism
  • Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable
  • Assist Claims Administrators and Sr. Claims Administrators on larger accounts when necessary
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 3 years customer service experience
  • Willingness to obtain an insurance license
  • Previous work experience in personal insurance is preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated success in customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
  • Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
  • Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
  • Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
  • Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
  • Must possess valid driver's license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Incumbents must be able to use telephones, calculators, copy machines, computers, printers, and other office equipment.

The work environment is primarily indoors. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The estimated range for this full-time position is $23.08 - $27.88 hourly, plus benefits. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
