Position Overview

Are you a high-performing architectural or engineering leader ready to command major client portfolios and steer complex, multidisciplinary building programs? We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Placed directly within a premier client's office environment in Plano, you will move beyond standard task management to act as a premier client ambassador and strategic integrator. In this critical, contract-driven leadership role, you will manage a diverse facilities portfolio—ranging from major corporate headquarters and high-stakes operation centers to complex adaptive reuse projects—transforming ambitious project visions into landmark realities.

Joining our team means stepping onto a high-velocity, integrated design and advisory platform that unites nationwide design expertise with forward-thinking consulting. Backed by an 85-year legacy of industry innovation, this position offers an exceptional career runway to deepen high-value client relationships through daily on-site collaboration, mentor cross-functional teams, and establish a commanding leadership presence in a key growth market.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Stewardship: Serve as the primary, high-availability point of contact on-site at the client's Plano office 4–5 days per week. Maintain direct, daily interaction to ensure lockstep alignment with contractual goals and project expectations.

  • Simultaneous Program & Project Management: Masterfully direct multiple complex projects simultaneously across their entire lifecycles, driving seamless execution from initial concept and design through final construction.

  • Scope, Schedule, and Budget Alignment: Programmatically coordinate detailed Scopes of Work (SOW), master schedules, and strict budgets for each independent project in transparent collaboration with the client.

  • A/E Design & Constructability Oversight: Apply deep technical knowledge of architecture and engineering aspects of vertical building design to evaluate constructability, mitigate risks, and ensure engineering solutions honor architectural intent.

  • Multidisciplinary Team Coordination: Partner closely with internal and external A/E teams to ensure all deliverables are executed with technical excellence, absolute clarity, and timely delivery within established financial bounds.

  • Market Sector Expansion: Partner with National Market/Sector Leads and Operations to aggressively pursue, win, and execute complex projects within the Federal, Aviation, Transit, Corporate, and emerging infrastructure market sectors.

  • Digital & AI Innovation: Guide and collaborate with project teams on the implementation of advanced digital delivery frameworks, including BIM, generative design, and parametric tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Engineering, or a professional equivalent.

  • Licensure: Active Registered Architect (RA/AIA) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of post-licensure experience managing multidisciplinary architecture and building engineering projects, staff resources, and construction-phase workflows.

  • On-Site Availability: Ability to work full-time augmented within the client's facility in Plano, TX (4–5 days per week).

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is strictly required for this position due to federal program parameters.

  • Software Proficiency: Robust proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe, and Bluebeam.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure Preference: Registered Architect (RA/AIA) is highly preferred. An active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly acceptable provided it is backed by extensive, demonstrable experience handling the architectural aspects of vertical building projects.

  • Portfolio Expertise: Proven track record managing facility assets such as corporate headquarters, dedicated operations/command centers, and adaptive reuse building transformations.

  • Credentials: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or LEED Accredited Professional (AP) status.

  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated success leading Design/Build and other alternative project delivery methods.

  • Business Development: Proven track record contributing to winning Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and collaborating on high-impact written and graphic marketing materials.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 15% to support nationwide program and project responsibilities.
