Pepsi MidAmerica is growing, and we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team. Position Overview

The Accountant plays a key role in supporting daily financial operations, partnering with department leaders, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Assist with month-end close process
  • Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
  • Research discrepancies and post adjusting entries
  • Assist departments with operating and capital expenditure budgets
  • Analyze actual vs. budget variances
  • Maintain checkbook and cash controls
  • Meet regularly with department managers to provide financial insight and reporting support
  • Assist with:
  • Annual financial audit
  • Benefits plan audits
  • Workers’ compensation audits
  • Income tax return preparation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Experience with general ledger accounting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
