Description
The Insurance Advocate enrolls patients in ACA Marketplace plans. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence at the assigned hospital facility as needed, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Contact patients to assess financial and medical eligibility for coverage
  • Enroll patients in ACA marketplace plans and obtain required documentation
  • Guide patients through the enrollment process and assist with case issues
  • Perform bedside screenings when necessary
  • Manage a high volume of outreach calls
  • Document all activity in HealthFund Solutions, Hospital databases, and EMR systems
  • Stay up to date on ACA policies, procedures and certification requirements
  • Provide accurate and timely data to support reporting and tracking needs

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Knowledge of ACA marketplace, Medicaid, & commercial insurance terms preferred
  • Computer proficient; EMR/EHR experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance
  • Must complete hospital medical clearance and required vaccinations
