Which ABA company pays the most?

Full Time ABA therapists and behavior technicians can earn higher salaries at larger or specialized companies, especially those serving complex cases or requiring advanced certifications. Salaries vary based on experience, location, and credentials, with some organizations offering competitive pay to attract qualified staff. However, salary data is often specific to individual companies and regions, so researching specific employers is recommended.

What are some common challenges a Full Time ABA therapist might encounter when working with clients, and how are they typically addressed?

Full Time ABA therapists often face challenges such as managing difficult behaviors, maintaining client motivation, and ensuring consistency across therapy sessions. These challenges are typically addressed through ongoing team collaboration, regular supervision, and thorough data collection to adjust intervention strategies as needed. Working closely with families and other professionals is also key to promoting generalization of skills and achieving the best outcomes for clients. Continued professional development and peer support help ABA therapists stay effective and resilient in their roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapist, and why are they important?

To succeed as a Full Time ABA Therapist, you generally need a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field, along with specialized ABA training or certification such as RBT (Registered Behavior Technician). Familiarity with ABA data collection software, behavior tracking tools, and intervention protocols is typically required. Key soft skills include patience, strong communication, and adaptability to effectively support clients with diverse behavioral needs. These competencies are crucial for implementing evidence-based interventions, tracking client progress, and fostering positive outcomes in clients' daily lives.

What are Full Time ABA professionals?

Full Time ABA professionals are individuals who work full-time in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. They often work with children or adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental conditions to improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement. ABA professionals may include Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), or ABA therapists, and they typically work in schools, clinics, or clients' homes. Their role involves assessing behavior, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to promote positive behavioral changes.

Job description

Help a Local Child Thrive: Behavior Technician
Location: In-home or clinic sessions in Mount Pleasant, MI
Hours: Full-time, M-F 8am-4pm
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
A Little About Us
At Finni Health of Central Michigan, we don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" care. We are a small, heart-led practice that treats our therapists and the families we serve like neighbors. We meticulously personalize care because we understand that each child is unique. We work closely with families to set individual goals and track progress, making adjustments whenever needed. Together, we create a supportive and nurturing environment where our kiddos can thrive and develop vital skills.
The Heart of the Role
We are looking for someone who doesn't mind getting down on the floor to play, getting messy with arts and crafts, and celebrating "small wins" like they're Olympic gold medals. You'll work one-on-one with a child in the comfort of their own home, helping them learn life skills through the power of play.
What your day might look like:
  • Being a Play Partner: Using a child's favorite toys or games to help them learn to communicate and socialize.
  • Building Independence: Helping a child master daily routines that make a big difference for their family.
  • Cheering Progress: Keeping track of how they're doing so we can celebrate every milestone together.
  • Learning Together: You'll have a supportive mentor (our BCBA) right by your side to guide you.

Who You Are
You are a compassionate person with a big heart and the right foundation to hit the ground running.
  • The Training: You have already completed your 40-hour RBT training course.
  • The Next Step: You are ready (and excited!) to sit for your RBT Exam-we'll provide the support and mentorship to help you cross the finish line.
  • The Experience: You have a high school diploma and at least a year of experience working with children (especially those with special needs).
  • The Spirit: You're reliable, have your own transportation, and are comfortable being active (sitting, kneeling, and playing on the floor).

Why You'll Love Working With Us
We know that to take good care of our families, we have to take good care of you.
  • Consistent Schedule: This Full-Time role is designed to fit into your life.
  • Support for Your Mind: We offer Mental Health days and Paid Time Off because we know heart-work requires rest.
  • Family Feel: We offer mileage reimbursement, referral bonuses, and a team that actually knows your name.

Ready to meet the family?
If you're looking for work that feels less like a "job" and more like a calling, we'd love to chat. We're looking for someone who is ready to jump in, have fun, and make a lasting impact here in Mount Pleasant, MI.
Apply today-we can't wait to welcome you to the team!
Note: To keep our kiddos safe, we require a background check for all new team members. It's part of our commitment to our families.
