Job Summary:
Schonfeld is a global multi-manager hedge fund that strives to deliver industry-leading risk-adjusted returns for its investors. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their AI Technology team, where the role involves building and shaping the firm's internal Generative AI platform while contributing to UI and backend development, architectural improvements, and feature definitions.
Responsibilities:
• You’ll be a key contributor to the UI and backend of our agentic AI platform and associated tooling.
• You’ll help evolve our technical stack and development tools by contributing to architectural improvements, shared components, and implementation consistency across cross-functional teams.
• You’ll work closely with product teams and business stakeholders, helping shape feature definitions, and designing and building high-impact UI solutions directly into our AI applications.
• Your development responsibilities will span full-stack, including web front-end, backend integration, API design, performance optimization, and system observability.
• You’ll also be involved in the team’s code quality and best practices, identify gaps in development lifecycles, and continuously improve both the core platform and how developers build with it.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3-5 years of professional experience in front-end or full stack engineering
• Expertise in React, HTML, CSS and modern web development toolkits
• Experience with Python-based backends used in production systems
• An eye toward high-level product and user-experience design
• Experience working with REST APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven architectures
• Experience working with both relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic Search)
• A thoughtful approach to problem-solving; Ability to break down complex issues methodically
Preferred:
• Experience developing agentic AI applications, harnesses, MCP servers, and workflows
• Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, etc.), Kubernetes-driven deployments, Github Actions, and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Experience implementing or maintaining design systems
• Familiarity with React-based micro-frontend architectures and patterns for building modular UI
• Excellent communication skills; Able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with observability tooling such as DataDog
