Full Stack Engineer
Delivery
Remote (United States)
About Huntridge Labs
Overview
Huntridge Labs is a forward-thinking digital engineering company dedicated to efficiently delivering modern, technology-driven solutions. We believe government agencies and public sector organizations deliver the most public benefit when they are able to quickly deploy the technology they need. No long design cycles. No permanent support contracts to keep yesterday's technology on life-support. Just mission focused solutions delivering today's technology.
Our Mission
We are a purpose-driven team that prioritizes the client's mission above all else. We are passionate about creating services that work better, faster, and more efficiently.
Our Unique Culture & Guild Structure
At Huntridge Labs, we operate differently. We have abandoned traditional, rigid corporate hierarchies in favor of a flat, autonomous organizational structure modeled after guilds-with a bit of nautical flair! Members of our guilds are organized into a "ship's crew" when deployed to solve a problem or deliver a project. Development typically follows Agile practices and are organized as such. Generally, we believe in decentralized decision-making, where every team member has a voice and the autonomy to help steer the ship. You won't find micromanagers or red tape here; instead, you'll find a crew of passionate experts working together as equals.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be a member of the Code Corsairs guild. This specialized crew of developers is dedicated to technical excellence, collaborative problem-solving, and charting the course for our digital products. You'll have the freedom to navigate challenges your way, supported by an environment of innovation and one of the industry's most competitive benefits packages.
Benefits
Huntridge Labs offers a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, unlimited paid time off, and a 401K plan with a fully vested company match.
About the Role
You'll be joining a dynamic, high-performing mobile crew currently focused on building and launching a cutting-edge consumer gardening application. As we gear up for a commercial launch before the end of the year, your expertise will be critical in expanding the app's feature set, refining the user experience, and optimizing performance.
Beyond this initial launch, Huntridge Labs boasts a growing portfolio of impactful engagements, including federal initiatives like supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
What You'll Do
  • Feature Development & UI/UX: Design, build, and ship native and or cross-platform mobile applications (iOS and Android), collaborating with UX designers and product managers to deliver clean, highly intuitive user interfaces.
  • Full-Stack Engineering: Develop and maintain front-end components using React.js and build scalable back-end RESTful APIs and microservices (Node.js, Express, etc.).
  • Launch Preparation: Polish the app, tighten performance under real-world usage, and squash bugs to ensure a seamless App Store and Google Play launch.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and product managers to support business needs and build robust systems.
  • Mentorship & Code Quality: Perform code reviews, contribute to team documentation, mentor fellow guild members, and help maintain a high standard of engineering excellence.

About You
Regardless of the role you are applying for, you will be a great fit at Huntridge Labs if you:
  • Are a highly collaborative problem-solver who thrives in transparent, team-oriented environments and flat organizational structures.
  • Works "out loud" and takes initiative to improve processes and step outside your immediate job description to ensure the crew's success.
  • Enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest trends in full-stack and mobile development and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Are passionate about solving problems and continuously trying new things to improve outcomes.

If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below but believe you are fully capable of doing this job, please apply anyway.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in full stack development, with strong proficiency in React.js.
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping mobile applications (iOS and/or Android), using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end tooling.
  • Experience with back-end development using Node.js, Express, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments..
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance from the U.S. Government.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Unconventional and Dynamic: A willingness to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
  • Knowledgeable and Authoritative: Deep expertise in your field, balanced with humility.
  • Experience publishing to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Experience using Claude Code (or similar) to accelerate quality code development.
  • Experience developing in highly regulated environments (Government, finance, healthcare, aviation, etc.)
  • Background in public-facing or commercial applications where user experience was a critical success factor.

Pay Range
120,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD per year (Remote - United States)
