Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer for a nationally respected provider of health, science, and technology solutions supporting clients in the government and commercial sectors. The Sr. Full Stack Developer will join a talented software development team supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This position is primarily remote with one on-site visit per month in Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities of the Sr. Full Stack Developer include: • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java Spring Boot and React. • Participate in the full Agile development lifecycle for microservice-based architectures. • Work with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Redis). • Implement automated unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber. • Collaborate on Agile Scrum teams, completing user stories and delivering high-quality code with minimal oversight. • Support acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. • Contribute to cross-functional teamwork and incremental feature development. • Maintain development standards, best practices, and participate in code reviews. • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers. • Interface with customers and external teams to explain application functionality. • Demonstrate completed functionality to stakeholders during sprint reviews. Qualifications for the Sr. Full Stack Developer include: • Master’s degree + 4 years experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 8 years experience OR 12–15 years of software development experience without a degree. • Proven experience developing code in microservice-based architectures. • 3+ years of Agile experience utilizing DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with React web applications. • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. • Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Docker and Apache Camel. • Familiarity with DoD STIG process. • Must be able to obtain a Final Secret DoD clearance. • Must reside near Laurel, MD to travel to office or customer site as needed.
