They handle the entire design process, from user research and wireframing to implementing designs using code. This role requires proficiency in design tools like Figma or Sketch, as well as front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Full Stack Designers bridge the gap between design and development, ensuring seamless user experiences.

What does a full stack designer do?

A typical day for a Full Stack Designer involves collaborating with product managers and developers to take a project from concept to implementation, working on both the design and coding aspects. About Our Client
Our client is a healthcare technology organization building modern enterprise applications that support the industry. They are looking to grow their engineering team with a hands-on senior contributor who can help design and deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable software.
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys building software that solves meaningful business problems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, developing, and evolving modern enterprise applications within the healthcare industry. You will work across the full software lifecycle-from understanding business needs and shaping technical solutions to delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software.
We are looking for an engineer who takes ownership, demonstrates curiosity, and enjoys solving complex problems. The ideal candidate is someone who goes beyond implementing requirements, asks thoughtful questions, challenges assumptions, and helps create solutions that deliver lasting value. Success in this role is measured not only by the software you build, but by the problems you solve, the questions you ask, and the improvements you leave behind.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain modern full-stack applications and services.
  • Build scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions using modern engineering practices.
  • Develop APIs, backend services, integrations, and user-facing applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, code reviews, and engineering improvements.
  • Build software with strong attention to quality, testing, observability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Contribute to a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
Required Experience/Skills
  • Typically 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, or equivalent depth of expertise.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience building modern enterprise applications across backend and frontend layers.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs and system integrations.
  • Experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications.
  • Experience building cloud-hosted applications using modern cloud platforms.
  • Experience with containerized application development and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Primary technologies: Python, Django (or similar backend frameworks), Vue.js (or similar modern frontend frameworks), REST APIs, SQL Server and relational databases, Microsoft Azure, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Additional/preferred technologies: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technologies, Azure DevOps, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
  • Equivalent experience welcome: comparable technologies such as React, Angular, FastAPI, Flask, .NET, Java/Spring, Node.js, AWS, or Google Cloud are valued-strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn new technologies matter more than experience with any one specific framework.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience building enterprise software in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience designing secure applications with authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
  • Experience integrating multiple enterprise systems.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering standards.
Pay & Benefits Summary
  • $115,000-135,000
