Executive Summary: 

The client is looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Developer (TS/SCI) to support the JCC2 PMO and stakeholder reviews by creating technical design drawings, optimizing GUI elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing features on mission-critical government programs.

Position Description:

This position provides subject matter proficiency for front-end engineering and design. The developer will be responsible for planning and implementing modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs), constructing and optimizing UI elements, and ensuring system navigation practices meet Agile, user-centric application design standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter proficiency for work described in the task.
  • Provide analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and the definition of requirements.
  • Analyze, plan, develop requirements documents, build functional models, develop procedures, and develop functional architecture.
  • Perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts, including creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and associated documentation for JCC2 PMO and stakeholder review.
  • Plan and implement modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).
  • Construct and optimize various UI elements and system navigation practices.
  • Facilitate operator ease of use for user-facing feature development.
  • Engage in agile, user-centric application design, ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX standards.
  • Prepare, conduct, and document various systems tests and results to verify system operability and compliance with project standards and requirements.
  • Generate system wireframes and mockups considering multiple user personas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Must be able to report on-site in San Antonio, TX up to five days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
  • 10 years of experience in the functional area.
  • 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with the ability to apply tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
  • 5 years of recent and relevant experience performing front-end web design and development.
  • 5 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
  • 5 years of experience testing web-based applications.
  • 5 years of experience leading software development programs/projects.
  • 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
  • 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.
  • Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
  • Experience integrating into DoW DevSecOps environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
  • 5 years of experience with CI/CD software development.
