What is a full stack AI engineer?

A Full Stack AI Engineer is a professional who develops and deploys artificial intelligence solutions across both the front-end and back-end of applications. They combine expertise in AI and machine learning with software engineering skills, allowing them to build, integrate, and maintain AI-powered features throughout the entire technology stack. Their responsibilities often include designing machine learning models, integrating them with APIs, and ensuring seamless user experiences on web or mobile platforms. Full Stack AI Engineers bridge the gap between data science and software development, enabling scalable and production-ready AI applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full stack AI engineer?

To thrive as a Full Stack AI Engineer, you need strong programming skills (such as Python, JavaScript), understanding of machine learning algorithms, and experience with both front-end and back-end development, often supported by a degree in computer science or related fields. Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and effective communication are standout soft skills in this role. These skills and qualifications enable the seamless integration of AI models into scalable applications, ensuring innovative and robust solutions.

How do full stack AI engineers typically collaborate with data scientists and front-end developers on AI-driven projects?

Full Stack AI Engineers often serve as the bridge between data scientists, who develop machine learning models, and front-end developers, who build user interfaces. They work closely with data scientists to understand the model requirements and deployment needs, and with front-end teams to ensure seamless integration of AI functionalities into applications. This collaboration requires effective communication skills and a clear understanding of both the technical and user experience aspects. Regular meetings, code reviews, and shared documentation are common practices to facilitate smooth teamwork and successful project outcomes.

Job description

Full Stack AI Engineer Remote Opportunity

As the industryโ€™s pioneering value-based care (VBC) technology platform, Reveleer is purpose-built to solve the most pressing real-world challenges faced by providers and health-plan organizations today. By unifying retrieval, clinical intelligence, risk adjustment, quality improvement, and member management solutions into one intelligent, AI-powered system, Reveleer streamlines fragmented workflows to supercharge productivity, enhance care quality, and optimize performance on high-priority value-based initiatives.

About the Team:

You will be joining a small team within Reveleer AI division, in charge of developing the next generation agentic model for clinical prospective suspecting. As a full stack software developer in our team, you will be working in the unique environment of a small team with large scale impact to enable the expansion of our product and fast growth of our users.

Responsibilities
  • Apply first-principles thinking to break down hard problems and ship durable solutions.
  • Understand business needs and build end-to-end product experiences across the stack โ€” backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
  • Build, scale, and maintain infrastructure โ€” containerized microservices, orchestration pipelines, cloud-native architecture.
  • Develop and continually improve observability of systems and infrastructure at scale.
  • Partner closely with clinical experts and other engineers to build highly scalable, clinically accurate systems that surface actionable insights.
  • Challenge the status quo. If something is slow, fragile, or over-engineered, fix it.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues daily. Own the problem from alert to root cause to prevention.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience building high-quality code and infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems โ€” microservices, event-driven architecture, or pipeline orchestration.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience building across the stack: backend services (Python, Node, or similar) and frontend interfaces (React, TypeScript, CSS).
  • Familiarity with containerization, cloud-native deployment patterns, and common architectural patterns for scalable systems.
  • Strong debugging instincts โ€” you can trace a problem through multiple services, read logs, form hypotheses, and fix things under pressure without relying on an LLM to do the thinking for you.
  • Proven curiosity with the latest generative AI advances and a thoughtful perspective on where AI tools help and where they don't.
  • High ownership and accountability. You treat the systems you build as yours
Nice to Have
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical data, or value-based care.
  • Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar).
  • Experience with Firestore, BigQuery, or other GCP data services.
WHAT YOUโ€™LL RECEIVE:
  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, Dental and Vision benefits
  • 401kmatch
  • Generous PTO plan

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
