Job description

The Full-Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.

  • Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
  • Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
  • Reconditioning and reassembly substation transformers will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
  • Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation.
  • Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
  • Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
