Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care License: License to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: Full labor and delivery experience, and postpartum experience Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Acceptance of first-time travelers Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse with full labor and delivery experience. Experience in postpartum care is essential. Travelers must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is highly preferred. The nurse will be responsible for performing all areas of care including labor and delivery, postpartum, well baby, transitions, and antenatal. The position requires participation in a minimum of every other or 8 weekend shifts. Certifications required include ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP. Nurses are expected to adhere to staffing standards and engage in necessary patient care tasks. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including high-risk cases. Responsibilities may include assisting with high-risk deliveries, administering medications, and providing patient education. Nurses will be required to perform specific procedures such as vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care. This unit caters to healthy to acutely ill childbearing individuals and their newborns, requiring adeptness in managing various complications.
