Job description

Aircraft Fueler

But at the heart of our business is our people.

The aircraft fueler responsibility is to the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircrafts at the airport. You will need to perform simple mathematical functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with regards to weight, measurement and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions as they pertain to fueling.

This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

This job is at Ontario International Airport. Pay: $20.50/hr.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions
  • Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment, maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
  • Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
  • Responsible for defueling aircraft as directed.

Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance:

You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. The company is committed to providing a safe working environment for all staff members. In all areas of our business there is a potential risk to the health, safety and welfare to everyone on our sites through the misuse of alcohol and drugs. As such the Company prohibits such misuse and carries out regular testing to enforce our Substance Misuse Policy.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English and perform basic math calculations
  • Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver's License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
  • Must pass pre-employment medical and Drug testing.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing; (for Cargo Fuelers, class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsement required)
  • Must pass driver's test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver's license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
  • Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
  • Prior Ramp experience preferable.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
