OWL Services is Hiring a Junior Fuel Compliance Technician!

Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Full-Time | Frequent Travel (Approx. 2 weeks per Month - Home on Weekends)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Overview

OWL Services is seeking a Junior Fuel Compliance Technician to support retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities by ensuring fuel system integrity and regulatory compliance.

This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy independent work, travel, and problem-solving. You'll play a key role in preventing environmental risks, fuel loss, and equipment failures.

This position offers consistent hours, weekly pay, company-paid travel, and strong long-term growth opportunities in a stable industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fuel containment, equipment integrity, and leak-detection testing
  • Identify leaks and compliance issues to prevent environmental or equipment failures
  • Complete petroleum support work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Document test results using calibration tools and digital systems
  • Communicate findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers and partners
  • Travel approximately two weeks per month (home on weekends; lodging provided)
  • Follow all safety, DOT, and company policies

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude; experience with hand tools preferred
  • Background in trades or industrial/commercial environments is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Physically able to lift 10-50 lbs and perform kneeling, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing
  • Must pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
