Sales Account Manager — Hydraulic Components

Reports to: Corporate HQ — Safford, Arizona
Travel: 60-75% Travel Expected with overnight stays

Type: Full-time

About Open Loop Energy Inc.

Open Loop Energy, Inc. was founded in the spring of 1992 as an Arizona corporation. We began operations in Safford, Arizona, a central location to serve the Southwestern U.S. mining and construction industries. Our core business is hydraulic component repair and reclamation. Our technical expertise in repair, design, troubleshooting, and manufacturing distinguishes us as far more than a repair shop. We’re now accepting applications for an Account Manager to help us serve a territory with well-established mining customers.

The role

As an Account Manager with Open Loop Energy, you will develop and manage sales activities within an assigned territory focused on mining, and heavy equipment customers. Your ability to understand customer needs and deliver practical solutions, especially around pick-up & delivery / repair & return of hydraulic components, will be integral to maintaining and growing the business.

What you’ll do

  • Own the book: Manage and expand a portfolio of accounts; prospect new opportunities while growing share within existing customers (including major mining sites).
  • Pick-up & delivery: Coordinate safe, timely pick-up of hydraulic components; manage return delivery after repair, testing, and quality sign-off.
  • Repair-and-return orchestration: Align work scope with the Safford shop, track turnaround times, communicate status, and ensure on-time, in-spec returns.
  • Solution selling: Translate application pain points into repair, reclamation, or replacement options; present proposals with clear value and ROI.
  • Territory & pipeline: Create strategic territory plans, nurture accounts, and deliver accurate pipeline forecasts.
  • Post-sale care: Drive satisfaction, warranty follow-through, and long-term reliability; cultivate referrals and renewals.
  • Internal collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams in Safford to solve complex hydraulic challenges.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in outside sales/account management (Mining, MRO, hydraulics, or heavy equipment strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and related components—or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; credible at job sites and in executive meetings.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; comfortable coordinating field logistics with assist equipment as needed.
  • Organized, self-directed, and diligent with follow-up, territory planning, and customer reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience running repair-and-return programs or dispatch/logistics.
  • Familiarity with mining operations, maintenance planning, or large fleet support.

Where & how you’ll work

  • Home base: Phoenix metro (customer-facing, field-based role).
  • Reporting line: Corporate office in Safford, AZ; periodic travel for training, meetings, and team events.
  • Territory: Primarily Arizona, with occasional regional trips as needed.

Compensation & benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus commission
  • Company vehicle; fuel card for business travel.
  • Medical and Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) plan (available after 90 days)
  • Competitive PTO (Paid Time Off) and PSL (Paid Sick Leave)
  • Vision and life insurance; company laptop/cell phone reimbursement.
  • Excellent, safety-first shop environment backed by the resources of a quality-focused hydraulic repair and manufacturing organization.
