Job Description Summary:
Scopes of Work • Bathroom Accessories (Grab Bars, Toilet Paper Dispenser, Soap Dispenser, Baby Changing Tables, Etc) • Bathroom Partitions • Wall Protection (FRP, Corner Guards, Etc.) • Fire Extinguishers/Cabinets • Postal Specialties (Mailboxes) • Visual Display Boards (Marker-boards) • Window Shades • Select Furnishings (Benches, Tables, Bike Racks, Bollards) Qualifications: • At least two years of carpentry and/or construction experience is required. • Must have ability to read and understand detailed / dimensioned installation drawings. • Must hold a valid driver's license. • Some travel required within region. • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and on a team. • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. • Must be able to safely lift at least 50 lbs.
Job Description:
This position reports to the Specialties Operation Managers and has direct supervisory responsibilities of the Specialties project craft personnel.
High Level Responsibilities
Installation
• Must be able to coordinate and lead work while installing yourself.
• Load, unload, and securely store project materials on job sites.
• Clearly understand detailed work orders and building plans to complete project installations.
• Have basic knowledge of ADA specifications.
• Coach, mentor, and train direct reports to become competent and skillful in their positions.
• Assist Pre-Construction and estimating by providing advice on schedule, site logistic plans, constructability reviews, etc.
Productivity
• Assist with productivity tracking using company software.
• Participate in the strategic planning process.
• Focus on results and speed of implementation.
• Ensure all production levels are being met through direct reports.
Safety and Quality
• Have a well-organized set of recurring meetings for site safety and daily tasks.
• Continue to build on Swinerton's safety culture and ensure safety training/reporting and compliance.
• Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
• Ensure the proper management of company tools and equipment through direct reports.
• Ensure implementation of QA/QC program.
• Ensure Superintendents and foremen are held accountable for QA/QC.
Site Leadership
• Provide leadership for field operations including tracking and entering time into WorkMax for crew.
• Properly complete work orders and provide detailed notes on work completed and materials used.
• Effectively communicate with Project team as well as jobsite Subcontractor's.
• At times will be responsible for assigning daily tasks to Assistant Installation Technicians; assist in on-the-job training of Assistant Installation Technicians.
• Carry and maintain files for multiple projects.
• Attend monthly staff meeting and/or training sessions and occasionally participate in Pre-Construction meetings.
• Lead and communicate the strategy to people in your area(s) of responsibility.
• Have a vision and direction for operations.
• Foresee and solve potential issues before and during work being performed.
