Overview
The Marketing Communications Specialist will support Frontwave Credit Union's overall marketing strategy to acquire, retain, and deepen Member relationships by assisting with the development and implementation of effective marketing and communications strategies for the Frontwave Credit Union's products, services, and organizational initiatives. The role will serve as a marketing liaison and subject matter expert for assigned distribution channels and product lines while partnering with cross functional team members to implement and address specific needs. The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for collaborating with marketing team members to support creative and tactical promotional campaign components and identify trends, best practices and opportunities for alternative strategies and programs.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Vice President of Marketing with the development of marketing tactical plans, promotional campaign/programs, and accompanying budgets.
  • Serve as a Frontwave Brand ambassador ensuring consistency in the organization's voice, key messages, and editorial style across all channels. Varies language and tone of message based on product, medium, and target audience.
  • Coordinate the execution of marketing plan and program tactics including, but not limited to, traditional promotional/campaign materials, branch merchandising, digital, audio and video assets, online materials, newsletter articles, member education pieces, press releases, and internal communications.
  • Assist with the development of specific marketing programs for the branches ensuring that all elements and initiatives are consistent with Frontwave's brand and member service standards while achieving marketing goals.
  • Manage assigned projects and/or project teams ensuring timely completion of tasks/projects, contingency planning, campaign/project analysis, and tracking/monitoring.
  • Serve as the department subject matter expert in standing and/or ad hoc cross functional team committees as requested to support Frontwave's goals and objectives. Initiate and support committee's ideas, projects, and product enhancements.
  • Act as facilitator/contributor to process documentation for the department as well as any ongoing process improvements.
  • Develop and present department communications to cross-functional groups including, but not limited to, leadership teams.
  • Perform as in-house graphic designer producing a wide range of marketing and promotional materials including but not limited to print, digital, out of home, and signage.
  • Partner with the Marketing Communications team members as needed in the completion of tasks and projects.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, including Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
  • 5+ years marketing communications experience to include creative and content development
  • 2+ years' experience working with marketing agencies, media buyers, public relations, and digital marketing.
  • Experience with event marketing, experiential marketing, and retail merchandising
  • Well-developed project management skills with knowledge of campaign development process including familiarity with all types of marketing communications from print to digital.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Experience in financial services
  • Marketing agency, creative direction and/or designer experience
  • Experience working in world-class hospitality or consumer brands

Must possess an excellent eye for design and the ability to deliver messages in a clear, concise way. Must be a curious and a critical thinker with knowledge of both the creative and analytical side of marketing. Demonstrated ability to manage the creation and distribution of marketing communication collaterals to extend existing branding. Ability to understand business objectives, incorporate feedback, and produce solutions that communicate clearly and represent the brand. Must be excellent at communication & presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to rigid timelines on multiple projects.
Salary Range: $30.66/hr - $46.00/hr
