Purpose of the role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.
  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.
  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Bank Delaware seeks Finance Data Analysis AVP in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available):

  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to provide financial and data analysis and re-porting for Consumer, Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Liquidity (CRFTL) and Management Information (MI).

  • Provide frontline support to CRFTL requests of new MI projects, including testing and data verification and data quality issues.

  • Build and maintain data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.

  • Perform data extraction, aggregation, analyze, design, implement, and modify business processes to optimize capabilities and improve efficiency to support financial analysis. Operate production and ad hoc processes to deliver MIS for segment level reporting purposes using SAS, SQL, and Excel.

  • Integrate reporting from various systems to develop unified and comprehensive views of the business. Provide and maintain all database documentation including business requirements, workflows, standard procedures, and user guides.

  • Perform the review and data quality processes that ensure the accuracy of the data reported for financial and regulatory purposes.

  • Design, develop and implement controls on current DataMart to make sure it operates in control fashion and pass internal and external audit.

  • Design and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.

  • Design, development and production of value-add Management Information reports for the US Consumer Banking Chief Financial Officer Management Information (USCB CFO MI).

  • Accountable for timely, accurate and credible production of scheduled and adhoc MI reports and analytics, leveraging SAS and Essbase.

  • Develop and operate processes to deliver MIS for regulatory reporting purposes.

  • Develop data-mining and mathematical models including business optimization and monitoring procedures that provide key guidance to business stakeholders.

  • May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid role]
