About the Role
  • Set technical direction for Axiom's frontend
  • Ship user-facing features end to end, from concept to launch, with design and product
  • Build interfaces that stay fast under a constant stream of live market data
  • Own performance, responsiveness, reliability, and interaction quality
  • Debug production issues across the browser, the network, and the backend
  • Evolve the frontend architecture while keeping it simple and maintainable
  • Raise the engineering bar through strong judgment and mentorship
Minimum Qualifications
  • Deep React and TypeScript experience
  • Excellent programming and debugging fundamentals
  • A track record of shipping fast, reliable, polished products
  • Sharp product judgment and an eye for detail
  • Comfortable working with high ownership in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Frontend performance work: render cost, memory, bundle size, and jank
  • Real-time data over WebSockets, including high-frequency updates and backpressure
  • State management at scale (we use Jotai and TanStack Query)
  • Charting, virtualized lists, or other data-dense interfaces
  • Debugging production issues with logs, metrics, traces, and browser tooling
