Job description

Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut is looking for a Front Desk Associate to join our team.  We are looking for someone who understands that the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience. This role is central to how patients perceive our practice—from their first interaction to the moment they leave. In a high-volume environment, success requires a balance of warmth, efficiency, and attention to detail, ensuring every patient feels welcomed while the day runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients efficiently and professionally
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
  • Verify insurance and collect co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to keep the schedule running on time
  • Assist with general front desk and administrative tasks
  • Assist with the sale of skincare products

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a medical office preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic systems (ModMed/EMA experience is a plus)
