Job description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Front-end loader Operators to join our Richmond team in a dynamic construction environment. As a Front-end loader Operator, you will play a vital role in various construction projects, utilizing heavy equipment and performing essential tasks that contribute to the successful completion of our projects. Ideal candidates will have experience in operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site procedures. Ideal candidates will be dependable, punctual, and can be relied upon to work independently or with minimal supervision while still meeting deadlines and expectations.

Duties

  • Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks, including lubrication and cleaning, to ensure the equipment's proper functioning.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate front-end loader in an effective manner to load or move material, following verbal cues or hand signals.
  • Load dump trucks
  • Maintain laydown yard and transport material to assist crew as needed.
  • Load, unload, arrange, organize, and stage pipe fittings and materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations on the construction site.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in front-end loader operation for the purpose of heavy underground utility installation is a must.
  • Prior pipelayer experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction site practices and procedures is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
